Rumour Mill – Android Market to relaunch today

The Android Market is everything Apple’s App Store isn’t – open and free from a stringent approval process. It’s also difficult to navigate, rammed with sub-par apps and poorly managed.

That could all change today. Rumours are swirling that Google will choose to revamp its app channel today, bring an iTunes Store-baiting Google Music service and a long-overdue web interface for Android Market.

Those improvements are touted to be announced at a Mountain View briefing at 6pm (UK time) to discuss the new tablet edition of Android, Honeycomb. We’ll be back later to pass on the news.
