Virgin Media TiVo iPad app coming in September

Virgin Media's chief Neil Berkett has revealed that the Virgin Media TiVo app will go live in September, according to reghardware.

The Virgin Media TiVo scooped the Home Cinema Gadget of the Year award in the Stuff awards 2011, but it's been crying out for some iPad app love.

Unlike Sky's Sky Go app, the Virgin Media TiVo iPad app won't be offering live-streaming capability and will instead serve up the ability to schedule TiVo recordings, Sky+ style, alongside a live programme guide.

Here's hoping that Virgin Media's app wizards will add in some live TV streaming between now and September to offer its TiVo customers some much-needed extra functionality.
