Nokia Lumia 800 with Nokia Drive

Nokia is throwing down the gauntlet to Google Maps Navigation, adding some major new features to its navigation and mapping apps. Nokia Drive gets the most substantial update, adding the ability to download country maps for offline access. Nokia's also added customisable speed limit notifications to the app dashboard, so you can set your own criteria for alerts.

Nokia Maps has a new favourites feature that lets you add and share places, as well as traffic updates for 19 different countries (including the UK and USA). You can also click on public transport waypoints for more information. Public transport journey planning app Nokia Transport is also now available in 510 cities across 46 countries.

Head on over to the Nokia Marketplace to pick up the updated apps.
