Instagram on Android imminent

Talk about being late to the party, Android. Every hipster’s favourite photo app – Instagram – has been adding a warm haze to iPhone snaps since 2010, yet only now are we finally getting a hint that its long-awaited arrival on Google’s mobile OS is preparing to launch.

A static page on Instagram’s site is asking Android-toting would-be retro pic sharers to sign up for updates on the imminent release of Instagram for Android.

Don’t start exhaling yet, though – there’s still no indication of an actual date of arrival for Instagram on Google Play (née Android Market). Based on past experience, expect Instagram for Android to be with us in two to four weeks time.
