Apple patent hints at iPhone video streaming

Unwired View has sniffed out a patent that shows the iPhone adopting a "Media out interface", that would apparently let you stream media content from your phone to your TV.

The system would work via a docked iPhone connected up to your television, that could then be controlled by remote. The interface would also allow you answer, end and reject any incoming calls, pausing video playback while you decide what to do.

It wouldn't be a first for mobile phones, but would stretch the tech out to a wider, more general consumer audience.

There's not much longer to wait to see if we will see this on the finished product, with an announcement expected on 8 June at WWDC.

We'll be there to bring you all the news from the event so make sure you keep it locked on for the latest.
