WWDC rumour round-up

iphone 5 mock up

iPhone 5

Again, while we’d like to see the iPhone 5 (or whatever the next iPhone will be called) finally revealed at WWDC 2012, we think it may be a little soon – after all, it’s only been nine months since the iPhone 4S was announced, and we’d expect Tim Cook to wait at least a year to tear the wrappers off its successor. We’d put our money on a September or October launch event – but we can’t call it for sure: after all, a Foxconn recruiter claimed the iPhone 5 would be coming in June

I don't understand why you've said you've "heard rumblings" about some of these OS X Mountain Lion features - a lot of them are explicitly listed on the Apple website http://www.apple.com/uk/macosx/mountain-lion/

I think they're making iOS and OS more similar, started with Lion with all the trackpad gestures and app screen thingy etc. Are they slowly working towards one operating system and then maybe one gadget?? Probs not on the latter.

Like the idea of Siri dictation, from the rumour I've seen the new MacBooks might have a Siri button - hope they don't do what they did with the iPhone and restrict the Siri part of the new OS only to the new gadgets. Cos I want it on my (currently latest) MacBook!

Can't wait for the 'iPhone 5'. My 3GS died and been putting off getting a 4 or 4S for aggggessss. I miss it =(

    Ramble over.
