OnLive Desktop app streams Windows 7 to your iPad

The cloud isn't all fun and games – cloud gaming service OnLive is launching a free iPad app, OnLive Desktop, that'll beam a version of Windows 7 straight from the cloud to your slate.
OnLive Desktop's iPad-optimised version of Windows 7 will play nice with pinch-to-zoom, flick scrolling and Aero Snap, and comes complete with a full virtual keyboard – though you can, of course, use your Bluetooth keyboard with it.
As well as running Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, the OnLive Desktop also – in a move that'll doubtless cause some annoyance at Cupertino – lets you view Flash through Windows 7.
The free version of OnLive Desktop comes packing 2GB of cloud storage space and is accessible on an "as available" basis. For power users, there's OnLive Desktop Pro, which serves up 50GB of cloud storage, a cloud-accelerated browser, extra apps and priority access for US$9.99 a month.
OnLive Desktop goes live on Thursday January 12th. Windows on an iPad. What is the world coming to?
