There have been cook books, themed adventure playgrounds, a cartoon series, rumours of a movie and more merchandise than you can catapult a squawking ball of feathers at. Now Angry Birds is extending its reach by setting up a theme park to rival Disney World.
The massively popular game – which has been downloaded over 600 million times – is set to become the latest attraction for holidaymakers in Finland, with rides and games to be installed as an extension to (deep breath) SärkänniemiAdventurePark in Tampere.
Although the park opens for its summer season on April 28 2012, the Angry Birds theme park will be annexed to the existing facilities – which currently houses an aquarium, a planetarium, a dolphinairum and a children's zoo – later in the year. Plenty of time to warm up your slingshot arm then.
