Call of Duty: Black Ops II Care Package
Call of Duty is a blockbuster series, and this is an appropriately over-the-top box set – it comes complete with a two-sided SteelBook, the official soundtrack, challenge coins, props and a special Nuketown map. Oh, and there was something else, what was it… ah yes, a working quadrotor drone.
The Smashing Pumpkins – Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness Deluxe Edition
Double albums are already a byword for bloated excess – but that's not going to stop alt-rockers The Smashing Pumpkins. This reissue of their 1995 album comes with a whopping five CDs containing 64 bonus tracks from the Mellon Collie recording sessions, two concerts on DVD and a velvet-lined disc holder. Oh, and two books full of artwork and lyrics, plus a "decoupage kit for creating your own scenes from the Mellon Collie universe."
Hitman: Absolution Deluxe Professional Edition
This box set's relatively cheap – at least compared to some of the others on the list – but it doesn't skimp on the content. You get the Agency Gun Pack DLC, a making-of DVD and an art book to immerse you in Agent 47's world – and an adorable bobblehead of the baldy antihero.
Harry Potter Wizard's Collection
Correct us if we're wrong, but the Harry Potter film series consisted of eight movies. Yet somehow, Warner Bros has managed to cram 31 discs into this box set – including Blu-rays, DVDs, extended cuts of the first two films, and (in the case of the Deathly Hallows films) 3D Blu-rays. You also get three bonus discs crammed with documentaries, concept art prints, catalogues of props and posters, and a map of Hogwarts.
E.T. The Extra Terrestrial – Limited Edition Spaceship with Digibook
Okay, this box set only contains the original film on Blu-ray and digital formats – though mercifully, not the re-edited version with walkie-talkies in place of guns. So why does it cost £90? Because it comes packaged in E.T.'s spaceship – which lights up and opens mechanically to the strains of the John Williams theme. Perfect for getting you in the mood for some classic Spielberg.
