Several phone manufacturers appeal to the snap-happy masses by cramming as many megapixels as possible into their handsets. HTC look set to ride at the head of that bandwagon with their rumoured 16MP handset running Windows Phone 7.
Good quality image sensors are also important and we’ve yet to see any phone match a dedicated snapper, though the Nokia N8 came close in our aerial photography test. With the iPhone 5’s 8MP camera rumour HTC are doing well to keep ahead in that area – now we just need to get an SLR lens on a cameraphone somehow.
