Microsoft’s newly minted Windows Mobile 7 OS got off to a solid start but arrived with a few shortcomings. The lack of multi-tasking for switching easily between apps, and no support for Flash 10.1 video when web browsing were major oversights. But perhaps the most criminal, given Microsoft’s heritage, was the omission of a copy and paste facility.
OK, Microsoft always maintained from launch it was coming but now, via an official statement out of Redmond sent to Engadget, C&P will finally hit your WP7 phones sometime early 2011 through its first software update. That’s all we have right now but fingers and toes crossed subsequent OS upgrades will address the other original oversights sooner rather than later.
