A surprise guest to the ASUS launch was the new 2013 Nexus 7 tablet. Recently announced by Google, the tablet is the pride and joy of Mountain View, and good news – we will be seeing it on our shores soon!
As a recap, the new Nexus 7, manufactured by Asus, has a Snapdragon quad-core S4 Pro CPU plus 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 7in 1080p screen, NFC, LTE and a whopping 3950mAh battery while running the latest Android 4.3 OS.
No Price, but LTE is Coming
When we asked ASUS about the availability, they said that the tablet will be available here by mid-September. They also revealed that two models will be brought into Malaysia – Wifi-only and LTE-equipped. As for storage options, the answer is a little bit more vague as they are not confirmed as yet if the 16GB will be joining the 32GB brother on the shelves here.
ASUS also mentioned that no pricing has been set yet for the tablet, but it could be in the ballpark of the original 2012 Nexus 7 when it was first launched – around RM1099.
