Three new phones from Acer
For those who wants something fancy, new and “canggih” looking while at the same time still wants to keep money in their bank, Acer has now given you the chance to own a piece of new technology without actually have to sell off a kidney or even your pinky toe.
While the phones are targeting the low-to-mid range markets, anyone who are looking for value for money devices should have a look at the triad from Acer. Starting from the lowest is the Acer Liquid Z3, then comes the Liquid E3 and finally the range topper is simply known as the Liquid S1.
What’s in store if one should get hold of one of these machines?
The smallest of the bunch is also the cheapest of the bunch. The Z3 comes with a dual-core 1.0GHz processor, with a 3.5 inch 320 x 480 display while running Android Jellybean version 4.2.2. It also comes with a 3 megapixel camera plus 512MB of RAM.
While the size is small, Acer has managed to give it some grunt in internet speed, as it supports HSPA all the way to 21mbps transfer speed – so you can use it on the go as a portable Wifi hotspot. It also supports two SIM cards at the same so you can easily fit in your home SIM card, as well as your international card at the same time.
Looking for something a big mid-sized? The Liquid E2 comes with a larger screen – 4.5 inch to be precise- plus higher specs as well. This includes a beefier processor (1.2 GHz quad core chip), 1GM of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera plus Android Jellybean 4.2.2.
The E2 also supports dual SIM cards, and comes with an IPS display for perfect viewing angles from any side of the phone. It also comes with dual speakers that supports DTS, plus the function called Float Caller where the call status is always on top of any application running at the time – so you will not miss any call.
As the flagship of the line, the Liquid S1 predictably comes with some flagship specs of its own. This includes a thin profile (only 9.5mm thin), a 5.7 inch HD screen running at 1280 x 720 pixels, a speedy 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8 megapixel camera and a beefy 2400 mAh battery.
Similar to the other Liquids here, the S1 also features dual SIM slots, plus DTS surround sound for times you want to enjoy your media on the go. Acer also gave the S1 new software features called “Floating Apps” where selected apps can be used on top of other running apps – similar to what other flagship phones from other companies such as Sony, Samsung and HTC has enabled in their high-end phones (Sony Z1, HTC One, Samsung S4).
Price and availability
The three phones are available now from the street and also online through Lazada. The Liquid Z3 is retailing for RM 399, Liquid E2 for RM 749 while the Liquid S1 is priced at RM 1299. With every purchase, the Z3 and the S1 will come with a flip-cover case, and Acer will announce in the near future further accessories for these three phones.
The alleged Sony Xperia Z4 will be one classy smartphone
