Homegrown mobile brand Ninetology has decided to play with the big boys, releasing its new U9 smartphone series.
Massive tracts of screen
The three new models, the Ninetology U9X1, U9Z1 and U9Z1+ are a slim bunch with 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processors, pretty impressive screens and are really big on the megapixels. They don't slack on storage either, with 16GB of storage and 1GB of RAM across all three devices as well as 12-13 Megapixel rear cameras and 5 Megapixel fronties (certainly not the first to do so) for the more self-engrossed.
The display are probably the biggest pull of the U9 series besides their rather rounded looks; borderline phablets would be best to describe them, with the super AMOLED HD screens going from 4.8 to 5.7 inches. Odd measurements, but you do appreciate the extra screen real estate if you're an avid gamer or into watching movies on your mobiile.
The U9X1 with retail for RM1099, the U9Z1 for RM1199 and the U9Z1+ for RM1299 with the phones coming in choices of red and black for the U9X1 and a more basic black and white for the U9Z1 and U9Z1+ respectively starting middle of August.
