Using the phrase “We Transform”, ASUS has launched a slew of new products. So let’s see what Santa ASUS has bought us in his bag of magical items.
First off, the new VivoBook S551 Touch Ultrabook. This sexy looking thing combines a very responsive touch screen, in an ultrathin body that is only 22.5mm at its thickest. Of course thin doesn’t mean lean. It is packed to the gills with technology – 4th Gen Intel Core i7, NVIDIA GeForce graphics and large storage (up to a terabyte!) makes the VivoBook a force to be reckoned with. Have we mentioned it is slim and light?
Full HD MeMO
As we have seen, 7 inches is apparently becoming the darling of tablet manufacturers. Of course ASUS wants to have some of that pie – on top of their already well known Nexus 7. The new MeMO Pad HD 7 is the update to last year’s MeMO Pad, now with a quad-core processor, an impressive IPS HD screen, two cameras (1.2 megapixel front camera and 5 megapixels at the back) and a purportedly 10 hour battery life. The icing on this cake is that it is only retailing for RM 649.
To Infinity And Beyond!
Fan of the original PadFone? Well now there is a new version – they call it the Infinity. In short – two 1080p screens (one 5 inches the other 10.1), LTE connectivity, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core PSU. Android Jelly Bean completes the nice looking package.
ASUS's own Phablet
We have seen phablets around the market, so why not one more? The new FonePad Note FHD 6. That FHD? It means Full HD. Also, the screen is a Super IPS+ display with an incredible 178 degree viewing angle. Running this beast is the new Intel Atom processor and also a few other bits and pieces. It even comes with a stylus – hence the monicker ‘Note’ in the name.
All of these products will be in the market soon, starting from early September onwards. Check www.asus.com/my or your favourite retailers for more info about the pricing.
