The Unu will go on sale next month, costing US$200 (RM632) for the Media Edition, which includes a docking station and an air mouse controller with keyboard, and US$250 (RM790) for the Gaming Edition, which adds a game controller.
Jelly Bean Gaming
It may not be the most obvious choice for a home entertainment centre, but Sunflex hopes, a 7in Android Jelly Bean 4.2 model with a 1280 x 800 resolution, quad-core processor, 5MP and 2MP cameras and 8GB of expandable storage will soon be giving your dumb TV some smarts.
It comes with a TV docking station (which essentially turns any television into a smart TV) as well as a remote control that works as a gesture-sensing 'air mouse' and features a full QWERTY keyboard on one side.
The firm showed off the gadget at E3 earlier this year, and it's an interesting idea - which is now set to finally get into the hands of consumers, in the US at least, following some delays.
There’ll also be an option to buy it with a Bluetooth gamepad.
"We built a custom smart TV user interface and two different controllers to match up with every entertainment experience found on the Google Play Store,' said Nicki Repenning, vice president of business development, Sunflex.
"That's how unu was born."
