Move over Kim Kardashian, there’ll soon be a new mobile celebrity
It’s confirmed: Katy Perry will get her own game app

First, there was all that hype over the Kim Kardashian: Hollywood app (although that hype hasn’t yet died down for many) and soon, your smartphones are going to work overtime thanks to another game app owned by a famous pop singer – Katy Perry.

The makers of Kim Kardashian’s Hollywood app, Glu Mobile, have confirmed that they’ve inked an exclusive partnership with Katy Perry, to develop her mobile game. The app has yet to be named but is said to feature her voice and likeness (just as it does on the Kim Kardashian app).

According to the makers, it will also “introduce players to a digital playground of global success and talent”. This makes us think it’ll be somewhat like a more complicated version of one of those reality talent shows.

But then again, there’s no other pop singer we’d rather have on the app (we hope we’re speaking on behalf of many). She has, after all, a massive social media following – approximately 170 million people – and has nine #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

And if Katy Perry’s “Left Shark” makes it on to the app (you know, the one that performed alongside her at the recent Super Bowl game) that’ll be a bonus and we reckon it’ll get everyone downloading it.

The app is speculated to be available on both the Android and Apple app stores sometime towards the end of this year. Till then, Kim Kardashian’s Hollywood app could possibly remain as one of the most played games for many.
