Google Glass isn't even in the shops yet, and already version 2.0 is on its way.
Google's launching a refreshed version of the Glass hardware that is designed to work with "future lines of shades and prescription frames," and will also include a mono earbud.
That last point seems to indicate that Google's backing away from the bone conduction audio found in the current version of Glass, in favour of a more conventional approach. The headset will still feature bone conduction audio, though – the earbud's an optional extra.

Google Glass Explorers will be able to swap their existing hardware for the revised version in a one-time deal – which will also enable fashion-conscious Explorers to switch colours.
Existing Explorers will also be a lot more popular among their social circle for the next fortnight – for the next 14 days, they'll be able to invite up to three friends to join the Glass program. Expect to see strife among the Silicon Valley jet set as invites are doled out and friends spurned.
