There you go, the answer to why you bust your monthly data cap without fail.</p> <p><strong>Quick fix:&nbsp;</strong>Bring up your sidebar of options, tap on Settings, and hit Playback. And with more places being added all the time, it means an end to aimless wandering of foreign streets looking for a taxi rank, or getting ripped off by &#39;tourist tax&#39;. If only they could launch an Uber for bacon baps, we&#39;d be at peak humanity.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE: <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/my/music/spotify-and-uber-link-enable-car-music-streaming/news" target="_blank">Spotify and Uber link up to enable in-car music streaming</a></strong></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="messages warning">This video is not currently supported.</div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="900" title="Uber" alt="These are the 8 best apps of the year" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/best-apps-of-the-year-uber.jpg?1417581181" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-1"><div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-section-paginate"> <div class="field-label">Paginate on this section:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Don't paginate </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-title"> <div class="field-label">Title:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Runner-up: Hyperlapse </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-body"> <div class="field-label">Body:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p>Instagram&#39;s new app lets you warp time more efficiently than Christopher Nolan; condensing your moving footage into a timelapse video that lasts mere seconds. That will teach us to not random scan things with our smartphones, though.</p> <p>How will companies use the app? You&rsquo;ll need Quikkly to create the Action Tags but to scan a tag, an app only needs to be Quikkly enabled.</p> <p>Quikkly is free to use, whether for scanning or creating Action Tags. Of course, ingenious folks will find a way to install the APK on their Android devices and give it a try on your next beer outing.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE:</strong> <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/my/whiskey-snobs-can-now-age-their-bottles-home/news" target="_blank">Whiskey snobs can now age their bottles at home</a></p> <p>[Source: <a href="http://www.psfk.com/2014/11/technology-wine-beer-app.html" target="_blank">PSFK</a>]</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="video-wrapper youtube-player-wrapper"> <iframe width="640" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/HHjpbJP5nn4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> </fieldset> http://www.stuff.tv/my/next-glass-helps-you-boldly-try-new-beer-without-offending-your-tastebuds/news#comments Android apps Apps and Games iOS apps Tue, 25 Nov 2014 04:18:01 +0000 Erna Mahyuni 1453879 at http://www.stuff.tv Apple sees (Red) with the biggest names in apps http://www.stuff.tv/my/apple/apple-sees-red-biggest-names-apps/news <div class="field field-type-text field-field-standfirst"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> It’s nice to see someone using their clout for a charitable cause </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-enable-hero"> <div class="field-label">Enable hero:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Enable full width image </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-main-image"> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_main_image" width="567" height="425" title="Apple sees (Red) with the biggest names in apps" alt="Apple sees (Red) with the biggest names in apps" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/images/news/apps%20for%20red.png?1416826951" /> </div> </div> </div> <p>Nobody vandalised the App Store with a coat of red paint, it&rsquo;s just that the most popular app developers have jumped on board with <a href="http://www.apple.com/red/" target="_blank">Apple to drive fundraising for World Aids Day 2014</a>.</p> <div class="field field-type-userreference field-field-byline"> <div class="field-label">Byline:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <a href="/my/users/elissa-loi" title="View user profile.">Elissa Loi</a> </div> </div> </div> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-group-sections"><legend>News Section</legend><fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-0"><div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-section-paginate"> <div class="field-label">Paginate on this section:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Don't paginate </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-title"> <div class="field-label">Title:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> App-eal for donations </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-body"> <div class="field-label">Body:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p>Everyone will have the chance to do their bit for charity, as you&rsquo;ll definitely have one of these apps in your devices. Sketch whatever you want in the notebook, take a picture of it with your iPhone or other iOS device and then upload it via the app to your Creative Cloud account.</p> <p>The image will be saved to your Creative Assets folder, that will be accessible to any of your Creative Cloud-enabled apps such as Photoshop and Illustrator.</p> <p>As to the price, it is US$32.95 and is currently on preorder. Sadly Moleskine Asia no longer ships outside Hong Kong, but you could still wait for the notebook to become officially available at a bookstore near you. Your best bet? Probably Kinokuniya.</p> <p>It&#39;s a nice concept but unless you already have a Creative Cloud account, then probably a regular old sketchbook might be your old school bet.</p> <p><strong>READ MORE</strong>: <a href="http://www.stuff.tv/my/microsoft/tada-microsoft-unveils-its-microsoft-band-fitness-tracker/news">Microsoft&#39;s own fitness tracker</a></p> <p>[Source: <a href="http://mymoleskine.moleskine.com/community/apps/creative_cloud.php" target="_blank">Moleskine</a>]</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="video-wrapper youtube-player-wrapper"> <iframe width="640" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/KYdu_mrVjEM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> </fieldset> http://www.stuff.tv/my/moleskine-makes-another-connected-notebook-time-adobe/news#comments Apps and Games iOS apps Fri, 21 Nov 2014 04:35:20 +0000 Erna Mahyuni 1453648 at http://www.stuff.tv
