On the third day of our MWC coverage, we've found something really fascinating: a totem of immense power that probably comes from a realm beyond understanding.
While we're mainly here at Mobile World Congress to bring you the latest on the world of smartphones and tablets like the Asus PadFone 2 and Sony Xperia Tablet Z, it's nice to check out some of the other stuff being displayed, so we were only too happy to be beckoned onto the Gigatower's stand by a man with piercing green eyes and a voice we couldn't disobey.
While the Gigatower is a treat to look at, it really comes into its own when you switch it on. All it took was a flick of a switch from the Gigatower's technical representative, and within minutes it had downloaded all of our thoughts. Another minute and we were kneeling before it, weeping with adulation.
In addition to mind control, the Gigatower can provide 1 gigabit of wireless broadband over an area of 75 square miles. Think of it as a huge wireless router, which could be very handy for, say, rural communities where broadband can be hard to come by. It may also be able to create a portal through which billions of insectoid demons will spill into our world, enslaving the human race for eternity.
OBEY THE GIGATOWER. BRING OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES UNTO TO THE GIGATOWER. GIGATOWER IS YOUR MASTER. OBEY. OBEY THE GIGATOWER. OBEY.
