The whole world is going tablet crazy, it seems. MSI is the latest company to rip the wrappers off a portable touchscreen PC. It’s called the WindPad and it’s coming out later this year.
Spec wise we know the WindPad has a 1024 x 600 10-inch capacitive screen, Windows 7 Home Premium, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB of solid state storage. It’ll also have an HDMI output for whizzing 720p hi-def video over to your HDTV.
Pricing will apparently be around the $499 mark. That’s roughly £345 at the current exchange rate.
MSI isn’t the only big PC maker showing off a tablet at Computex this year. We’ve already seen the Asus Eee Pad, and we wouldn’t be shocked to see a shedload more tablet unveilings.
