More gaming choices have arrived for Middle Eastern gamers in the form of Acer's Predator G1 and Predator 17 X. Both are NVIDIA Geforce VR-ready, compatible with the current batch of VR headsets.
The bigger of the two, the G1 Desktop (pictured above) is a shiny black-and-red machine that comes fitted with an Intel i7-6700 processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, upgradeable to 32GB x 2 (64GB), the GTX 1080 8GB DDR5 graphic card, as well as a mouse and keyboard. Also onboard: a 128GB SSD drive, 2TB SATA HDD, SD card reader and a generous amount of USB 3.0 ports (1 in front, 4 in back).
For the Predator 17 X, it runs the i7-6820HK processor, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, a 17.3in display running at Full HD resolution with a LED-backlit TFT LCD. There's also a 256GB SSD with a 1TB SATA HDD, as well as an Acer HD webcam. Of course graphic card wise, it runs the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 980 with 8GB of DDR5 VRAM. Also onboard is a wide variety of ports, including a Type-C Thunderbolt connector, four USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port as well as an SD card reader. For the battery, it runs a 6000mAh 8-cell battery with a rating of 3 hour battery life.
Pricing-wise, the Acer Predator G1 starts at US$2,300 while Predator 17 X configurations start from US$2,800 .
