Leaked Moto G images show off its third-gen exterior

Will the newest Moto G bring sexy back(s)?

Reportedly genuine images of the third generation Moto G handset have been leaked by an anonymous source to the folks over at Techno Buffalo.

So what's new? Thefront-facing camera appears to have shifted from its central position on the 2nd generation model to the right, and we can see a new grip at the back to provide a more comfortable finger rest.

Judging from the pictures alone, we reckon we prefer the simpler dimpled back of last year's model, though we'll have to wait and see what it looks like in person before forming our final opinion.

We're not too sure about the plastic embossed backing either, as it looks cheaper to us than the existing handset's smooth exterior. These pictures may be only one of many, however, and the final product could very well sport a different finish, including real wood, if previous Moto G models are anything to go by.

According to rumours, the Moto G third-gen (internally named "Osprey"), will feature 8GB of internal storage, a Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 13MP camera and a 5-inch 1280 x 720 screen. Once again, this specification is by no means confirmed.

The Moto G has been one of those miracle lines that just keeps on giving. By delivering top marks across the board for rock bottom prices, expectations have been set high for the latest addition to the family.

It'll be up to Lenovo, the new owner of the Moto brand after it snapped it up from Google, to deliver a handset that delivers the same awesome power-for-pounds as its predecessors. Let's hope it delivers.
