Microsoft OneNote lets you capture ideas and keep track of your to-do list all in one convenient place. We used OneNote Mobile for taking notes during meetings and events, and the app is a lifesaver on the Lumia 640 XL when it comes to creating notes from scratch and organizing, all on-the-go.
Microsoft OneNote allows you to quickly snap a picture, add a note for later and move on. We were particularly enamored with the audio note feature - simply tap and record whatever you want to say, and attach the note to text, ideal for capturing one's thoughts as and when they happen. All the usual text formatting suspects are present (from fonts to bold and italic) which should be enough for any avid note-taker. You can also copy content from OneNote and paste it directly into a Word Document or a text file and share it with anyone you wish. Important info saved in your emails can be forwarded to dedicated email address and will be catalogued in your notebook for you to reference later. Or if something on the web piques your interest, it’s easy to clip a page to OneNote straight from within the web browser itself either online or offline.
One of the major plus points in our usage was the ability to create todo lists to ensure we had everything we needed for conferences and a checklist of people to grab for interviews. Along with our key points typed in, a picture added to a note for reference, or an audio note attached to the list, we’re all set to go to our next assignment easily and relatively frustration-free. Whether you’re running between meetings, sitting behind your desk or chilling at home, your notebooks are synced and accessible via OneDrive anytime across devices.
All in all, Microsoft’s OneNote is a great way to organise your thoughts, ideas and content easily and quickly accessible at your fingertips on the Lumia 640 XL or across a range of devices including tablets and laptops and other smartphones.
