Lytro camera finally lands in the UK

Experimental shutterbugs rejoice, as Lytro's brightly coloured light field cams have stepped on British shores at long last

Remember the Lytro? It's the odd-shaped camera which got us all excited with its light field camera tech which lets you focus on different parts of an image after you've taken your shot.

These living pictures can be shared online for other users to play around with and you can even alter the perspective for a cool 3D-like effect.

Sharing

After recently having Wi-Fi unlocked as part of a firmware update, iOS (and eventually Android) users can also connect the Lytro to their devices for instant on-the-go sharing and image manipulation with nine interactive filters.

If that all sounds good to you then you can pick up the Lytro from July 22nd at Dixons Travel, Harrods and online at John Lewis for £400 (8GB) or £470 for the red 16GB model.
