Life-size drivable Lego car blows our minds

500,000 pieces of Lego + 256 pistons = a Lego masterpiece

If you're a Lego fan, then sit down, because this life-size Lego car will make you weak at the knees.

Made from 500,000 pieces of Lego and powered by four orbital engines 256 air-powered pistons, it features everything a car needs to get you from A to B, including doors, a steering wheel, and a top speed of 20-30km.

Australian creators Steve Sammartino and Raul Oaida built the Lego car in Romania before it was shipped to Melbourne, and they have yet to hammer out its full speed over a long stretch of road, for fear of a giant Lego explosion, despite the steel chassis and load-bearing parts.

Looking at the masterpiece they've created, we can't say we blame them.
