Popular music service Last.fm is preparing to catapult itself into the world of TV with the launch of Last.tv. The online TV service is expected to of

The online TV service is expected to offer up exclusive video content from music festivals, as well as live studio performances from acts as well.

CBS Interactive, which bought Last.fm in 2007, is planning the move to expand the Last.FM brand, and is planning to link up with current festivals in the UK and Europe for content, or is even considering organising its own.

The content would be accessible through Last.fm, but may also benefit from its own website depending on its popularity.

It’s thought the new service would be included in the current subscription fee for Last.fm, and would also be funded by advertising and sponsorship.
