The X10s were our favourite in-ears for years and a perennial favourite at Stuff Towers, but the X10is now look too pricey for the number 1 spot in our Top Ten list of best headphones.

Built in iPod/iPhone controls are useful, but it's their sound and size that really impresses. The buds are slim as lolly sticks but sound thrilling and insightful and are more comfortable than they look.

Launching at £230, you can find a pair for £130 and even the Lou Reed Signature Editions are now available for around £140.
