Latest 007 Spectre trailer released
2012's Skyfall arguably set a new bar for modern 007 films, and Bond is back later this year with Spectre, which finds Daniel Craig still in front of the camera and director Sam Mendes still behind it. We've seen a couple of shorter trailers in recent months, but this is our best look yet at the legendary film series' next step.
It looks spectacular, expectedly, given how excellent Skyfall was. We get a taste of narrative and action alike in this clip, which has us excited for November to roll around.
Major Pebble Time update
Tens of thousands of Pebble Time smartwatches are resting on the wrists of Kickstarter backers, while potentially many more are being snapped up now that they're properly on sale throughout the world. And Pebble isn't resting on its laurels, introducing a new firmware update yesterday that significantly enhances the device.
According to the Pebble blog, the new update lets users increase the intensity and duration of the backlight, making it easier to see in daylight, plus you can now adjust the vibration intensity and font sizes throughout the UI. And the update also adds support for various music apps on Android, including Spotify and Pandora.
Knights of the Old Republic II updated
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II
Here's a blast from the past: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - released in 2004 - has just been updated with some significant free enhancements on PC (via Steam). Now the epic role-player has 4K and 5K resolution support, along with native widescreen resolution and support for various controllers.
It has Steam Workshop support for mods, as well, and the famous Restored Content mod - which adds and finishes major content that was cut from the full game - is there on day one. And it's also playable on Mac and Linux. All told? That's a pretty serious update for an 11-year-old game.
