The all-rounder cleaning bot

The Milagrow AguaBot 5.0 can not only sweep, it can also swap.

We’ve all wowed at those cunning robot discs navigating their way across floors as they vacuum-clean households, but the question that all true-blue cleanliness freaks always ask is, “Jhaadu is fine, what about pochaa?” After all, which self-respecting Indian household doesn’t follow the daily sweeping with a good measure of daily swapping and mopping?

For such people, we have the Milagrow AguaBot 5.0 – India's first full wet mopping and dry cleaning, floor-vacuuming robot. Also to its credit is the fact that at a 350x210mm spec, it holds the world's largest smart mop as well as a Turbo Suction mode. No longer will an Indian household struggle with stubborn dirt that other vacuum cleaners fail to tackle.

How does it work?

The Milagrow AguaBot 5.0 comes with a water tank and a smart mop attachment. Fill in some water, attach the smart mop to the bottom of the water tank, then attach the entire thing to the AguaBot 5.0. Now sit back to watch the magic. You’ll see that the front portion of the mop handles the wet mopping, while the rear bit wipes the floor dry in its wake.

AguaBot 5.0 has been built with Milagrow's 5th-generation robotics software and comes with dual suction control. The maximum suction can go up to 45W – that’s a good amount of power – and it gets activated only when the AguaBot senses extra dirt or when you click on Turbo Suction on the remote control. The normal mode saves battery and is sufficient enough for regular cleaning.

What if it slips?

The lovely bot is equipped with extra-thick anti-slippage tyres and state-of-the-art automobile suspension technology in case your floors are extra slippery. Movement sensors help it send SOS signals to the CPU in case the movement is improper or the robot is stuck in a difficult situation. What’s more, it can even climb door sills up to 22mm! What, you’ve got a few patches of carpeted floors? Worry not – there’s the brushless cleaning mechanism on board too.

How long does it take?

Milagrow has been able to keep the weight of the robot at 2.5kg. This helps it hit a coverage of almost 3500 square feet in about 120 minutes – making it the largest coverage area on a single battery charge amongst the robotic vacuum cleaners. Milagrow has also upgraded the battery so it can be replaced. Even the High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter, which claims to remove up to 99.97% of all particulate matter above 0.3 microns, has been made washable.

The Aguabot 5.0 Robotic Floor Vacuum Cleaner is available with a two-year warranty on Milagrow's website for ₹31,990. Book it through here and you can choose cash-on-delivery or EMI payment options as well as a 30-day replacement guarantee.
