Next-gen Google Nexus 7 with 1080p screen and Android 4.3 revealed

The good ship FCC has sprung yet another leak spilling forth Google’s upgrade to the Nexus 7

Thinking of splashing out on a Google Nexus 7? Wait. The next-gen Nexus 7 has just leaked on an FCC document revealing a spec sheet to drool over.

The new Nexus 7, manufactured by Asus, looks to be packing some powerful hardware. Deep breath: it has a Snapdragon quad-core S4 Pro CPU plus 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage, a 7in 1080p screen, NFC, LTE and a whopping 3950mAh battery. And breathe. But the Nexus 7 won't just be pushing the boundaries with its hardware – as a Nexus device, it will arrive running the latest Android 4.3 OS.

According to the International Business Times we can expect to see the new tablet arrive this later summer.

But still no MicroSD slot to expand the memory - just like all Nexus devices.
