This is the Google Nexus 7 tablet

Just two days before I/O and Google’s first tablet has been leaked with pricing and full specs

Meet the Google Nexus 7 tablet, two days before Google unveils it at the I/O event on Wednesday. The 7in Tegra 3 toting slate leaked when Gizmodo Australia got a look at a Google training document.  So what can we expect?

The Nexus 7, built by Asus, will come with the first example of Android Jelly Bean OS and it’ll be supercharged by the quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor running at 1.3GHz, a GeForce 12-core GPU, and 1 GB RAM. The multi-touch IPS display should look great running a 1280x800 resolution and lasting for a good 9 hours of use. It’ll also be sporting NFC for Beam sharing and Google Wallet functions. The only camera mentioned is a 1.2MP front facing, presumably for video chats only.

The 8GB version will cost US$200 (£130) with a 16GB version available for US$250 (£160) – making it a big competitor for Amazon’s Kindle Fire. Check back on Wednesday for full confirmation of the Nexus 7 tablet.
