Now we hate to accuse Sony of keeping us waiting, but our PSP-owning friends in Japan have been navigating themselves out of bother on their portable PlayStations since 2006’s Tokyo Game Show. So, what took so long, Sony?
Finally unveiled for Europe today at the Leipzig Games Convention, Sony’s Go! Explore GPS add-on will be guiding itself towards your PSP in the New Year.
Bringing with it a UMD disc stuffed with software, Go! Explore will include 3D maps and landmarks from all over Europe with automatic zooming and tilting. A trip to the Eiffel Tower or Rome’s Coliseum should be a cinch with the thousands of POIs and the whole lot will be upgradeable through the Playstation Network.
Those of you who pound pavement rather than ripping up roadways will be able to use its turn-by-turn overview to find your way around mazy city streets, or an optional car mount and adaptor can be added for use behind the wheel.
With all those destinations in such easy reach, all you need do is choose somewhere to go. Now, which will it be Madrid or Milan?
