The truth is more prosaic – Gear4 has announced a line of Angry Birds speaker accessories. Licensed by Rovio, which makes the Angry Birds app for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Android, the range of accessories come in the shape of Red Bird, Black Bird or Helmet Pig from the game and cost between £50 and £70. All have 3.5mm jack sockets and docking stations for Apple products. And you can colour us impressed – it's a true bit of gadgetry, done with aplomb.</p> <p>We've seen universal remote apps before, but they've all overcome the iPhone's lack of infrared powers by using an ugly dongle, or even uglier case with the infrared transmitter built in.
