Apple blocks EU Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales

Sammy’s new tablet is bullied off the shelf by the iPad

You’ve read the review, now you’re desperate to get your hands on your own personal Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Bad news: Apple’s been telling teacher that Sammy’s tablet had nicked its patented tech and teacher (actually a court in Germany) has banned Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales in the EU (except the Netherlands).

Don’t be too upset – your coveted Galaxy Tab 10.l has the right to appeal the decision, and Samsung’s top dogs have wasted no time stating their intentions to do so. But even so, it could take a month to reverse the ruling, meaning that for now, you’ll have to keep that faraway look in your eyes for Samsung’s Android slate.

Want to check out the alternatives? Our money’s on the comparatively podgy Motorola Xoom or the keyboard-docking Asus Eee Pad Transformer. If you’re on a budget, you could also check out our best tablets under £200.
