Even if you select a service, based on its catalogue aligning with your own tastes, there&rsquo;s no guarantee it won&rsquo;t change within a year or even a month. Good luck keeping track &mdash; and if you&rsquo;re half-way through a virtual box-set, you&rsquo;d best hope it&rsquo;s not deleted before you finish.</p> <p>In the long run, everyone loses. People don&rsquo;t get to watch all the shows they&rsquo;d like to, and shows don&rsquo;t get watched by all the people who might. Some people resort to downloading torrents, thereby denying income to the people and companies that created a show, potentially reducing the likelihood of those shows still in production continuing.</p> <p>And presumably due to not wanting to piss partners off, we&rsquo;re not yet at the stage where we can tell a semi-intelligent TV unit what we want to watch and have it return the options for doing so. Where most Young Adult yarns are packed with love triangles and wish fulfilment, this is a science fiction story that holds a mirror up to modern society &ndash; a dystopian vision of a fascist America where teenagers are pitted against each other in gladiatorial combat to entertain the masses.</p> <p>The fantastical elements sometimes threaten to overwhelm the film &ndash; CGI mutant attack dogs and credulity-stretching camouflage are two low points &ndash; but Lawrence&#39;s naturalistic performance anchors the film. She&#39;s ably supported by veteran actors like Donald Sutherland &ndash; who has limited screen time in this instalment, but clearly isn&#39;t just in it for an easy pay cheque.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="video-wrapper youtube-player-wrapper"> <iframe width="640" height="385" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/SMGRhAEn6K0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-11"><div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-section-paginate"> <div class="field-label">Paginate on this section:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Don't paginate </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-title"> <div class="field-label">Title:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Avengers Assemble </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-body"> <div class="field-label">Body:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p>Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon takes the reins for this superhero extravaganza, which brings together the heroes from four different Marvel films to fight an alien menace. Ably voiced by Paul Bettany, he&#39;s a look at the future of Siri &ndash; controlling all your home automation, managing your life, and just a little bit sarcastic. The best bit? You can download <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/marvels-iron-man-3-jarvis/id672501358?mt=8" target="_blank">JARVIS</a> for your iPhone now.</p> <p>Bettany looks set to be rewarded for his perseverance, too. After six years of waiting on Tony Stark hand and foot, it&#39;s been announced that he&#39;ll be <a href="http://variety.com/2014/film/news/paul-bettany-to-play-the-vision-in-marvels-avengers-age-of-ultron-1201090635/" target="_blank">playing the android superhero The Vision</a> &ndash;&nbsp;an evolved version of JARVIS &ndash;&nbsp;in the upcoming Avengers sequel.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-hcmvideofield-video field-field-brightcove-video"> <div class="field-label">Video ID/URL:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <div class="messages warning">This video is not currently supported.</div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-filefield field-field-image"> <div class="field-label">Image #1:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <img class="imagefield imagefield-field_image" width="1200" height="900" title="JARVIS" alt="JARVIS" src="http://images.cdn.stuff.tv/sites/stuff.tv/files/jarvis.jpg?1392773721" /> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-make-full-width"> <div class="field-label">Make full width:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Do not make full width </div> </div> </div> </fieldset> <fieldset class="content-multigroup-wrapper content-multigroup-3"><div class="field field-type-number-integer field-field-section-paginate"> <div class="field-label">Paginate on this section:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Don't paginate </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-title"> <div class="field-label">Title:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> Robby (Forbidden Planet, 1956) </div> </div> </div> <div class="field field-type-text field-field-body"> <div class="field-label">Body:&nbsp;</div> <div class="field-items"> <div class="field-item odd"> <p>On the poster for 1956 sci-fi mundane Forbidden Planet, Robby the Robot is depicted spiriting away a scantily-clad maiden, like some sort of mechanical Frankenstein&#39;s Monster.
