The 10 best Lego minifigures ever
Since 1978, Lego's been entertaining kids and adults alike with its minifigures – the little people that populate its spaceships, castles and cities.
Now they're making the leap to the silver screen with The Lego Movie – so we've taken the opportunity to rummage through the Stuff toybox and pick out the best minifigures from the vintage and recent ranges. Has your favourite made the grade?

Classic Space Astronaut Lego Minifigure
Oh, how it warmed the cockles of our hearts when "1980-something Space Guy" floated past in the trailer for The Lego Movie. This little chap ventured out into the black in the Lego Classic Space sets, long before the days of Star Wars and Iron Man.
Zombie Lego Minifigure
Everything is better with zombies, and that includes Lego. We just have one question: why can't we buy a bucket of official Lego Zombies to stage our very own re-enactment of Dawn of the Dead?
Batman Lego Minifigure
One of the stars of The Lego Movie – and a host of video games – Batman only works in black. Or very, very dark grey. Variant minifigures feature the Caped Crusader in his comic book and movie duds – but sadly there's no Adam West version as yet.
Forestman Lego Minifigure
This fella makes the grade for purely nostalgic reasons. A staple of the 1980s Castle series, he was feared by the bad, loved by the good, and chewed by the neighbour's dog.
Butcher Lego Minifigure
We're certain that someone at Lego HQ is having a laugh – this butcher from the recent Minifigures range looks eerily like The League of Gentlemen's Hilary Briss, complete with cleaver and "special stuff."
