HTC EVO 3D heads for Europe

The Optimus 3D gets company as HTC levels its twin-cammed stare in the direction of LG’s 3D blower
HTC EVO 3D heads for Europe

It’s not exactly at the top of everybody’s gadget wish list, but until now if you wanted a 3D smartphone, you had a Hobson’s choice: LG Optimus 3D or LG Optimus 3D. HTC’s decided to double the options available with the announcement that its EVO 3D will be on European shelves from July.

On offer is a 4.3in qHD screen with autostereoscopic (glasses-free) 3D rendering, all the better to view 3D snaps and vids shot on the dual 5MP cameras adorning the back of HTC’s new phone.

Powering the show is a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, enough grunt to get Android 2.3 skimming along without any lag we’d hope, and HTC’s customary solid design and class-leading Sense UI Android skin are, of course, present and correct.
