Dell's new Chromebook 11 only costs £190

Meet the new Chromebook that won't ravage your wallet on release day

Dell has announced the Chromebook 11, an affordable Chromebook laptop which can be yours from a mere £190.

Peddled towards students and teachers, the Chromebook 11 features an 11.6in 1366x768 display, along with 16GB of SSD storage (time to embrace the cloud), and a fourth generation Intel Celeron 2955U processor.

It'll be available in 2GB and 4GB flavours and will also have Dell's Pocketcloud software cooked into it, allowing users to access their content and apps across their various devices, essentially letting users remotely run software that's on their Mac or PC.

Weighing in at 1.4kg, the Chromebook 11 also has a ten-hour battery life, along with a HDMI port, front-facing 720p camera and SD card slot.

The 4GB model will be available in January while the cheaper £190 2GB model will be out a little later, in the first quarter of next year.

We've contacted Dell for an update on pricing for the 4GB model and will update the story accordingly.

Update: Dell has confirmed that the 4GB model will cost £240.
