It certainly is BlackBerry's biggest, with a 5in Super AMOLED touchscreen, and brings with it the latest version 10.2 of BlackBerry 10 OS.
However, BlackBerry hasn't released the full, unadulterated spec sheet, so simply tells us that inside is a 1.7GHz processor with quad-core graphics with no mention of exactly which processor, how much RAM or how storage is available.
Biggest BlackBerry yet
That new BB 10.2 adds the new Priority Hub which learns which are the most important messages to you from email, social networks and elsewhere, then presents only the best. BlackBerry Natural Sound is also onboard – it's a feature designed to improve the sound quality of video and voice calls over BBM.
Power users – or in fact anyone who actually spends time using their phone for anything more than the occasional call – will be pleased to hear it also has the largest battery the company has ever used. It's a capacious 2880mAh battery (the Samsung Galaxy S4's is 2600mAh) that BlackBerry claims is good for 25 hours of 'mixed use'. There's no official price yet, but the BlackBerry Z30 will be hitting UK shops next week.
