Google Play UK gets TV shows – Chromecast incoming?

Brits invited to the viewing party as Google injects Play Store with TV goodness

Google has announced that UK Android users can now access TV episodes through the Google Play Store, suggesting that its freshly revealed Chromecast streaming dongle could be landing on UK shores in the near future.

Popular shows including The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Sherlock, Doctor Who and Top Gear are all present and accounted for, though the likes of Arrested Development and – one of our personal favourites – Archer, are missing, for the time being at least.

iTunes also one-ups the Play Store with HBO's spectacularly successful Game of Thrones series, which is also absent from Google's virtual telly storefront.

Still, at least Fawlty Towers is waiting to shower us with nostalgia, so hit up the Google Play Store now to check out the selection for yourself.
